We have been working on Oil Painting for about three days and have moved on from only using black paint and water solution to adding white and oil.
Honestly it is much more interesting having a variety of shades to choose from. The objects this time were a bit harder. A hat, a camera lens, and a camera bag.
Having the oil has given the paint a different texture but on the brush I feel no difference, is it because I am not experienced enough?
The harder the subjects I feel were more interesting to paint along with it was more interesting to look at afterwards. Unfortunately I feel like I still have to learn to paint simple objects before jumping into the more advanced things.
The third day was both the hardest and the most fun. There were only two objects that day and they were the same, although that does not mean that they were easier to paint. They were two lamps with a reflective outer and inner metal, the kind of lamp that people use in photo shoots.
My goodness that was complicated, people said that they liked others and one said they liked my painting. I think that because we are drawing our own we do not see how good our works can be and only see them in others and become wishful. Or they could be lying but I hope its the former.
Again the more complicated the object is I see it more interesting but I am starting to get the idea that if I constantly saw something overly complicated then my eye would be either lost or get bored from the excited plain.

Oil Paintaztar
Today, my class were separated into groups of focuses we were doing for the quarter. My friends and I were put into the painters group and had to base our paintings off of ideas and thoughts that came up when watching an animation called "The Illusionist".
The majority of the group voted for painting with oil pastels, I was conflicted about this only because I have never used oil paint before but I have heard some people say it is difficult.
We started out with some Windsor and Newton Artisan Water Based Oil paint, which included one tube of paint. Only for testing how it feels and getting use to the paint were we allowed to use the paint for. The three objects which we were to paint where a speaker, a boot, and a CD radio. The reason was, there were all black...or dark colored.
Oh my goodness it was one of the most difficult painting sessions of my high school life. I have never met a paint that was so stubborn and disagreeable. Unfortunately I have to adjust.
The kind of paint or style I am use to is more of a controlled, detailed environment. With oil paint I had to cut my comfortable zone up into little pieces and chuck them out the window.
What I thought would be more of the painful part would be the erasing I would have to do at the end of every painting I produced. On the flip side I actually enjoyed that part the most.
Personally I thought the speaker was the simplest but not the most interesting thing to paint. Next was the radio, I found it more entertaining to paint that instead because where was more of an interesting shape and shading to it with its arranged dark and lights. The most difficult was the boot. I found that at a certain angle it was not that bad to draw, very interesting. But the first time I drew the side view of the boot where you get to see the full shape of it, the boot suddenly turned into my worst oil paint enemy. The constant dark-grey color it had made it hard to differentiate the boot from the laces, or the rubber, or the cloth. To me, in the end, my drawing of the boot became a blob of oil paint. Not that a blob is a completely bad thing

Prince Florian
It has been a while since I surfed the web for something I personally wanted to look for.
Now everyone knows the stories of the famous Disney Princesses such as Ariel, Cinderella, and Jasmine. Even some of the newer ones such as Tiana, (the newer) Rapunzel, and the supposed "new Princess" Moana are known by a lot of people.

Since each of these princesses usually have a handsome prince behind them saving the day or just hanging around because they have nothing else to do, we as the viewers don't get as much of a background story of the princes. Although over time the princes in more recent movies have gotten more of a character and background, I would like to focus on one Prince in particular, Prince Florian.
Usually referred to as "Prince Charming", the Prince of the traditional movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Because of a lack of introduction for this character not a lot of people know his name just by watching the movie itself.
"Florian" branches off from the word Florus(German), or Florent (French) which means "in flower".
There were some arguments about the Prince's name but Prince Florian was the final decision made by the producers.
The original reason I brought up Prince Florian instead of another; such as Prince Eric, Prince Philip, or Prince Adam (the Beast), because of his role.
(And of course I could name some who are not princes but still have characters but that is not the point.)
Almost all of these princes have at least a small indication of an individuality.
I guess back when the movie was made, Princes were not as talkative. Actually, in the original write up of Snow White, Prince Florian was to have a great role but later was cut to the point where he only shows up twice in the movie. Why? Whats the reason cutting him off like that? What was his story?

Mythic Talk
When watching an episode of two teachers talking about the myths and logics of history. At first it was very interesting but after a while I started to zone out and eventually forget what I was originally going to write but managed to regain a little of the subject.
What I thought was interesting was the relations the two men made to the apple of eden and the the snake in different religions and writings. Through that there is also a relation throughout almost every religion. Buddism, Shintoism, and Christianity all have links that relate to each other. I think it was along the lines of there is a sign of eternity in each religion, but how the eternity is seen.
There was a disscussion in our class about how dfferent religions could interpret eterniy as life or knowledge.
There was also the idea that eternity could be the "here and now" because the past is what we regret and the future is never knowing, but the present; right now, is... well "nothing". This isn't the nothing as nothing exists, its that there is nothing to call this moment in time, you do not regret what you are doing right now, only right after or later on.
I missed the reason for the story of the building carpenter and the king who wanted a larger castle for himself. What I did catch from the story was that eternity can be punishable and that you may not have eternity when you think you do.
My definition is something I have not figured out just yet. Although I have been thinking of this for a while, it would not just occur to me in one day. I would like to believe that not everything is a lie and is not all set in stone but I cannot be sure if that is how I really feel. If everything was set in stone and as cold as it seems then I wouldn't have to constantly wonder but still I guess thats why people say we should have faith, to wonder.

Tradintional Love?
I spoke with my father and eventually got onto the subject of love. We were talking about the princess happily ever afters compared to the real life romance. Of course life's romance is not just all "love at first sight" but it does not have to be trickery either.
Unfortunately today I see a lot of relationships made and ruined because of many different reasons. I hope thats not what its like in fairy tales.
When I was younger I came to that stage where every other boy was good looking, but I have never really fell for anyone so this subject is kinda hard to fully grasp. On the other hand many of my friends have confided in me about their love troubles and have heard my share of "love tragedies".
How would you guys describe having a fluffy love story would feel like? And what is your kind of person? Do you know?
My old camp counslor asked me the question "If you knew you were going to die the next day what would you have for your last meal?" (and dont be an annoying know-it-all and as "why would I die?". "where?" and dont ask stupid questions like that, just answer it)
Depending on your answer depends on what kind of guy you like.
Im not exactly sure if that same question applies for men.
But even if you know what kind of person you like that still does not conclude that youre going to find the perfect match.
Sometimes I wish people would be nicer to each other and would not take advantage of others for their own benefit. Dont people want to just find happiness and now just physical atrraction?

Chief of Dreams
Earlier I wrote a post about dreams telling the future sometimes. On my Hercules trilogy search I found the god Morpheus (and no not the man from the Matrix).
Morpheus is the god of dreams, who's father was the god of sleep and mother the god of rest, good combination.

Mysticals are Scary
Fairies, Mermaids, Unicorns, and Dragons are what are the first three things that probably pop into your mind when the subject is fantasy creaters. When I was younger I thought these creatures are so amazing and peaceful but when I got old I started to notice the scary qualities in these creatures.
First Dragons, I always thought they were so cool but if I would meet with a creature like the ones in the story books, a 50 ft tall fire spewing lizard, then I would probably cry and faint. They are greedy for their themselves and no one else and only want to wollow in their gold (so far what I read but I cannot study real dragons so I cannot say for sure).

I love The Little Mermaid and will love it for the rest of my life probably, but when I started looking at other people's interpretations of mermaids. When running through "weird side of youtube", I found some videos that "sight angels" or are titled "mermaid caught on tape!" and I started thinking, maybe they are not as beautiful as we are shown when little. But of course as kids everything is fluffy and pretty but when we grow up things lose their magic sometimes. what we grew up with is something like this:

Well they are beautiful but I have to admit I would feel bad for a unicorn more than be scared of it. Having a bone structutre out on its forehead, well actually it might just be like a deer's situation with its horns.
