Mythic Talk

When watching an episode of two teachers talking about the myths and logics of history. At first it was very interesting but after a while I started to zone out and eventually forget what I was originally going to write but managed to regain a little of the subject.
What I thought was interesting was the relations the two men made to the apple of eden and the the snake in different religions and writings. Through that there is also a relation throughout almost every religion. Buddism, Shintoism, and Christianity all have links that relate to each other. I think it was along the lines of there is a sign of eternity in each religion, but how the eternity is seen.
There was a disscussion in our class about how dfferent religions could interpret eterniy as life or knowledge.
There was also the idea that eternity could be the "here and now" because the past is what we regret and the future is never knowing, but the present; right now, is... well "nothing". This isn't the nothing as nothing exists, its that there is nothing to call this moment in time, you do not regret what you are doing right now, only right after or later on.

I missed the reason for the story of the building carpenter and the king who wanted a larger castle for himself. What I did catch from the story was that eternity can be punishable and that you may not have eternity when you think you do.

My definition is something I have not figured out just yet. Although I have been thinking of this for a while, it would not just occur to me in one day. I would like to believe that not everything is a lie and is not all set in stone but I cannot be sure if that is how I really feel. If everything was set in stone and as cold as it seems then I wouldn't have to constantly wonder but still I guess thats why people say we should have faith, to wonder.

Tradintional Love?

I spoke with my father and eventually got onto the subject of love. We were talking about the princess happily ever afters compared to the real life romance. Of course life's romance is not just all "love at first sight" but it does not have to be trickery either.
Unfortunately today I see a lot of relationships made and ruined because of many different reasons. I hope thats not what its like in fairy tales.
When I was younger I came to that stage where every other boy was good looking, but I have never really fell for anyone so this subject is kinda hard to fully grasp. On the other hand many of my friends have confided in me about their love troubles and have heard my share of "love tragedies".
How would you guys describe having a fluffy love story would feel like? And what is your kind of person? Do you know?

My old camp counslor asked me the question "If you knew you were going to die the next day what would you have for your last meal?" (and dont be an annoying know-it-all and as "why would I die?". "where?" and dont ask stupid questions like that, just answer it)

Depending on your answer depends on what kind of guy you like.
Im not exactly sure if that same question applies for men.

But even if you know what kind of person you like that still does not conclude that youre going to find the perfect match.

Sometimes I wish people would be nicer to each other and would not take advantage of others for their own benefit. Dont people want to just find happiness and now just physical atrraction?

Chief of Dreams

Earlier I wrote a post about dreams telling the future sometimes. On my Hercules trilogy search I found the god Morpheus (and no not the man from the Matrix).
Morpheus is the god of dreams, who's father was the god of sleep and mother the god of rest, good combination.
in this link:

There is a mention that this god could send messages through your dreams and would sometimes give glimpses of  the future.

Recently I have been posting about Myths and fantasies, if you could be in charge of something what would it be? Growth? Gravity? Thought? could you be the reason why people blink? there are many options and many

I forgot originally where I was going with this up to there, I will update this post once I remember.

Mysticals are Scary

Fairies, Mermaids, Unicorns, and Dragons are what are the first three things that probably pop into your mind when the subject is fantasy creaters. When I was younger I thought these creatures are so amazing and peaceful but when I got old I started to notice the scary qualities in these creatures.
First Dragons, I always thought they were so cool but if I would meet with a creature like the ones in the story books, a 50 ft tall fire spewing lizard, then I would probably cry and faint. They are greedy for their themselves and no one else and only want to wollow in their gold (so far what I read but I cannot study real dragons so I cannot say for sure).

Mermaids.

I love The Little Mermaid and will love it for the rest of my life probably, but when I started looking at other people's interpretations of mermaids. When running through "weird side of youtube", I found some videos that "sight angels" or are titled "mermaid caught on tape!" and I started thinking, maybe they are not as beautiful as we are shown when little. But of course as kids everything is fluffy and pretty but when we grow up things lose their magic sometimes. what we grew up with is something like this:
While it might be something like this:
scary
Obviously this is a theory and probably isn't true seeing as how these creatures may not exist...MAY not.

Unicorns.
Well they are beautiful but I have to admit I would feel bad for a unicorn more than be scared of it. Having a bone structutre out on its forehead, well actually it might just be like a deer's situation with its horns.

Echo

I stumbled unpon this story when browsing through some greek gods after watching Hercules.
Echo is depicted as a person, a fairy or nymph actually, who lived in the woods and pranced around with other fairies throughout the forest. When one day she fell in love with a young hunter named Narcissus but could never aproach him.
Echo was punished by Hera because she distracted her while Zeus "mingled" with other mountain nymphs. Learning of the betrayal Hera cursed Echo to only speak the last few words that someone else say.
When Echo returned to the forest she finally met with Narcissus but could not talk to him.
When I hear this story I realize neverthing has a story and everything has a purpose. I liked this story in particular because even though Narcissus was handsom and young he ignored the influence of the other fairies and for some reason saw Echo. Its tragic because she died repeating Narcissus' last words.
The kind of perosn I am really likes the back stories of certain characters. The reason there is a back story is to explain why something is what it is. I think we should use this in our art (no matter what kind; writing, drawing, or acting) because characters are not just characters, they should come alive and have an imprint on the viewer/reader.

Fortune Telling Dreams

I am not sure if this truly exists but I feel like I have experienced these fortune telling dreams before. When I asked my friends they say sometimes they have the same feeling, when you wake up from a dream and then relive that dream when awake.
This kind of dreaming is somewhat of a Lucid dream but not exactly to the point where you can change the total outcome. Through my experience, I have been aware of what was going on in the scene of my dreams and about most of the conversations had, if there is any.
This is a website I have found that there were supposed claims of people who hav had dreamds of famous moments in times.

Subliminal Rewiring

When I was younger I loved animated movies such as Snow White, Shrek, and Anastasia.
I also loved watching TV shows such as Avatar the Last Air Bender, Edd, Ed, and Eddy, and Foster's home for imaginary friends. But as I grew older I began to notice all of the sbliminal messages all these cartoons and movies would give out, maybe that was one of the reasons parents did not want kids watching television too much.
To those who do not know what a subliminal message is, it is (by urband dictionary)  a message sent without your Knowledge of It, usuaLLy picked up on by your subconscious mind. It is in our "programing" and wired into our brains the lessons that people teach us every day such as saying "bless you" after a sneeze or "thank you". The same is for the lessons on TV as strange as that may sound.
When rewatching these movies and shows there are many messages that I now see as a teenanger. Then I started thinking about since we learn and respond to what we are exposed to constantly, is the reasons how we act now depended on the subliminal messages sent when we were kids? Even though we were not aware of these messages when watching the animations as a child, we grow up to happen to know some information that we did not exactly learn in school. Subjects such as sex, death, love, and marriage. Usually these subjects are hard for adults to explain to kids but subconsciencly kids have the basic idea down.
Scenes such as the bedroom scene in Shrek, and the three Kanker sisters in Edd, Ed, and Eddy, and the Koh spirit in Avatar.
Dinsey was a pervert but also can be seen as a genius along with other companies (please do not sue).
Subliminal messages do not have to be perverted, try not to get that idea stuck in your mind. The messages can be of war, death, and possibly a way to find happiness.

But honestly with all the messages I have talked about and talking down the movies and shows I honestly love those movies, messages or not. With out the lessons I probably would have been the person I am today. Because I love movies I would say I am the childish type who would stay infront of the screen for hours watching power rangers.
